Hella New Zealand Catalogue 2010-2012

Date: 26 May 2010
Hella-New Zealand Limited is pleased to announce the launch of the new and updated Hella New Zealand Catalogue 2010-2012 for Road Transport Lighting, Safety Lighting and Accessories.

We have continued on from the success of our last catalogue, however, there are some distinct changes to design and layout of the new edition.  The size of the catalogue has increased, and this reflects the growing importance of white LED products in the Interior/exterior range and the inclusion of more technical data and comprehensive information in the introduction pages of several sections.

A large number of images have been updated throughout the catalogue to reflect the introduction of new products and updated versions of some of our product range. There are over 180 new products in this edition and over 2,500 product part numbers including spare parts.

Below is a brief outline of the Catalogue and some key changes in our LED Section.

and Innovation

Hella New Zealand strives to provide world-class products that contribute to the safety of the automotive and transport industry through enhanced vision and visibility.

Product Search, Customer Service and Warranties

Each Product Section has been colour tabbed for easy identification and a quick contents guide is outlined on pages 4-5.  If you are after specific product part numbers then go to the Part Number Index – Parts Listed in Numerical Order on pages 277 -284.  An extensive list including all part numbers and spares are located for quick identification and location within the catalogue.

Hella backs up its products with a dedicated customer services team that can advise customers on product availability, product selection, installation and delivery.

The advantage to manufacture a large percentage of our products locally both for local customers and a large overseas client base allows for a high degree of flexibility and customisation unmatched in the New Zealand automotive industry, thus our order fill rate ranks consistently among the highest in the industry.

Customer Service provides customers with ‘best fit’ solutions based on sound professional knowledge and experience in the commercial transport sector.  With access to a wide global database within the Hella Group, Customer Service is the recommended first stop for customer inquiries.

Hella New Zealand has for over 20 years adopted the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders and developed into a LED lighting technology company with comprehensive in-house design and manufacturing facilities.

Hella-New Zealand Limited is certified to the International quality standard ISO 9001:2008.

Hella stands by its product. All LED based lighting products marketed by Hella New Zealand are covered by a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty covering faults in material, components or workmanship.

Layout and Design

The layout of the catalogue remains similar to the last, however, there have been major changes in the design and look of the catalogue.  Gone are the blue and yellow product descriptions.  The yellow background has been replaced by a light blue shade that makes for a softer look on the eye.

The new catalogue has noticeably greater text content where we have endeavoured to make the catalogue a fully comprehensive selling tool.  More technical information has been provided supported by relevant images demonstrating product utilisation.

The Interior/Exterior Lighting section continues to grow in importance and this has been clearly demonstrated by the large number of product releases in the last 12 months.  As products in this section are used in environments distinctly different from automotive, it is necessary to provide illumination charts that highlight spread patterns and are correlated with distances.

Over two decades we have refined our designs and developed production technologies now used in millions of lamps produced annually, all engineered and tested to the most demanding standards.

Their input has been invaluable and ultimately helped New Zealand manufactured LED technology products to succeed in world markets.

Superior Lens and Optic Materials

Superior Lens and Optic Materials
The majority of Hella DuraLed® and EuroLED® lamps are produced using extra thick acrylic lenses – providing an ultra long term lighting solution and environmentally friendly choice.

For most commercial transport applications Hella recommends the hermetically sealed marker and signal lamps manufactured with a specially formulated enhanced high impact acrylic that has superior resistance to most commonly used wash and cleaning liquids.

In 2009 Hella took the design and development of ultra durable lighting solutions to a new level by specifying the Swiss made high tech material Grilamid® for some selected applications.

Grilamid® has quickly become the material of choice for operators of equipment exposed to very high vibration and impact conditions.

Hella has responded to market demand and has expanded the range of products with Grilamid® lenses offered in this catalogue.  In addition we have taken the bold step and standardised Grilamid® for some popular lamps at no extra cost to our customers.
